Joana, a talented dermatologist raised in an orphanage, has never given up the dream of finding her mother. When she finally discovers that she is Sonia’s daughter, Joana also learns that her mother vanished in an air crash. While searching for more information, Joana becomes romantically involved with Guilherme without knowing that he was the one who designed the disastrous helicopter. Their relationship, however, will be vigorously opposed by Norma, Guilherme’s co-worker who is obsessed with him. He totally ignores her, and yet she will do anything to have him by her side.
