‘Two Faces” a prime time leader telenovela in Brazil, is the new drama distributed by Globo TV International in the US Hispanic market. Mega TV, a network that is part of the Spanish Broadcasting System INC (SBS) and currently covers the Miami, West Palm Beach, Orlando, Tampa Charleston, Palm Springs and Las Vegas areas among others through their DTH deal with DirecTV started to broadcast this hit on November 30th at 6 P.M. It will continue the slot of another Brazilian production, the miniseries ‘Seven Women’. ”Two faces” has already been distributed to 22 countries , and is currently being broadcast in Chile, El Salvador, Peru, Dominican Republic among others.
“Currently we have six telenovelas that are being transmitted in the USA. This territory represents an important market to Globo TV International, and the premiere of ‘Two Faces’ strengthens our presence in this key market” confirms Raphael Corrêa Netto, Director of International Sales.
Mega TV and Globo TV International partnership started two years ago. Since then, several telenovelas where aired: ‘Belíssima’, ‘Soul Mate’, ‘Pepper Chocolate’ and recently ‘Little Missy’ that lead top audiences on its last episodes in Miami and Fort Lauderdale areas. ’Two Faces’ written by Aguinaldo Silva, was shoot at various locations around Brazil and key points in Paris. The central plot talks about the human obsession with power, and themes such as vengeance and racial discrimination. The cast includes names as Dalton Vigh (‘The Clone’), Antonio Fagundes (‘Terra Esperanca/Terra Nostra’), Debora Falabella (‘The Clone’) and Lazaro Ramos (‘Snakes and Lizards’).
