The series ‘Carandiru – Other Stories’ premiered recently at 10 PM, on Channel 7 in Argentina. This was yet another deal closed between Globo TV International and the public network, which this year also televised the series ‘City of Men’, with good ratings.
‘Carandiru – Other Stories’ is based on a novel written by Dr. Drauzio Varella, “Estacão Carandiru” (1999) that also inspired in 2003 the production of a movie “Carandiru”, directed by Argentinian, Hector Babenco. Filmed in 16mm and finalized in high-definition, the series have new stories and are independent of some of the characters of the film.
Apart from these premieres, Argentinean audience also entertains daily with the telenovelas ‘The Favorite’ at Telefe, where it leads the timeslot of 3 PM, ‘Cabocla’ on Channel 10 on its last episodes, and on panregional Cosmopolitan TV ‘Her Own Destiny’ and ‘Women in Love’ .
