The broadcasting of the telenovela in Uruguay is part of a volume deal between the Brazilian distributor and Teledoce, partners for over than 20 years. The network also bought the exhibition rights for the telenovelas ‘Forbidden Pleasure’, ‘The Prophet’, the miniseries ‘Maysa’ and the documentary series GloboDOC.

With an agile and modern use of language, the telenovela is based on the rivalry between Flora (Patricia Pillar, from ‘Little Missy’) and Donatela (Claudia Raia, from ‘Seven Sins’), ex-partners in a country music duo. After serving 18 years in prison for the murder of Donatela’s husband, Flora leaves jail intent on proving her innocence, accusing her ex-partner of committing the crime. At the same time, she wants reacquaint herself with her daughter, Lara (Mariana Ximenes, from ‘America’), who was brought up by her rival. Lara is the only heir of a paper and pulp empire and is the center of a dispute between the two main characters.
