October sees the premiere in Portugal of TV Globo’s telenovela ‘Seize the Day’. Distributed by Globo TV International and transmitted by SIC, the telenovela has been on air since 5 October at 22:05h.

The drama, written by Manoel Carlos and is directed by Jayme Monjardim, deals with triumph: of what we are capable of overcoming even when we think we are at a dead end, in a critical situation, and of the will to fight and reach our goals. The replacement for “India – A Love Story”, the telenovela premiered in Brazil on 14 September.

SIC is a traditional Globo TV International partner in buying telenovelas and has a contract until 2012, guaranteeing the Brazilian distributor its biggest content volume negotiated around the world. The agreement reaffirms its positioning to offer the international market diversified products of different genre such as comedy, romance, drama, suspense and others.

Some of the main characters of “Seize the Day” include; Helena (Tais Araujo, from “The Favorite”). She is a top model with international fame and is at the top of her career. During a catwalk in Buzios, Helena meets Marcos (Jose Mayer, from “The Favorite”) and she is enchanted by his chivalry. They both fall in love and marry.
